How does BM calculate the coverage ratio?

Modified on Mon, 2 Sep at 2:44 PM

BM has a function to automatically calculate the coverage ratio based on the resource compilation that has been imported. The automatic calculation is based on how many items have been successfully mapped to resources in BM. Factors that may affect the automatic calculation of the coverage ratio include the completeness of the calculation import, whether the calculation is processed in Excel before being imported, or if resources are added manually. In such cases, it may be necessary to use a manual calculation of the coverage ratio instead.

Manual calculation of the coverage ratio can be performed under the Project Information tab in BM by following the instructions given.

When generating a report from a project in BM, it is important to note that the extended report, Normal Result Report, exclusively utilizes the automatic coverage ratio calculation. In contrast, the result file for the Climate Declaration Register (.xml) and reports using Boverket's conservative data have the option to apply the manually calculated coverage ratio. In these cases, the coverage ratio is entered in the Custom Coverage Ratio field. The results are then automatically adjusted based on the specified coverage ratio.

If a manually calculated coverage ratio needs to be applied to a result in the Normal Result Report, you will need to manually adjust the result. This can be easily accomplished by adding a row in the Excel report and performing the calculation there.
